Are my taxes finished and e-file

When you are finished you would have pressed the Transmit Return button to e-file your return. You'll also receive an email or text from TurboTax that your returns have been transmitted.

• If you selected to print and mail your return you would have need to print your return and mail it to the IRS.

To check your e-file status please see the information below: 

There are a couple of ways to check to see if you e-filed your return. 

1.       Sign into TurboTax with the same login you used when you filed your return.

• If you can't remember, go to the Account Recovery page and enter your email to get a list of all User IDs tied to that email address.

2.       Click Taxes near the top left corner of your screen, under the TurboTax logo.

If your return wasn't found, that means you did not file.  If you are ready to file, sign back into your online account, select Pick up where you left off, to your left, select File and repeat steps 1-3 to re-file.

I did my son's taxes in 2018 and cannot find the return and am unable to locate the password we used so cannot complete his taxes for this year. Can you help?? My son's name is Collin M Sullivan.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.
