2018 and now 2019 returns lost on TurboTax Deluxe for Mac

I've been using TurboTax for 10 years. Last year, when I went to do my 2019 taxes, it couldn't find my 2018 return. TurboTax always saves it, and then I save a pdf. But ... nothing. No .tax18 file. No .pdf. This year, SAME THING. I cannot find my 2019 returns anywhere and had to go online to irs.gov to get a copy. WHERE COULD THEY BE? I have searched the Trash, all files, can't find them anywhere. When I open 2018 or 2019 TurboTax, the only option is to start a new return. Cannot File --> Open -- there's nothing there. 

Please help. What is the point of continuing to use TurboTax if they keep losing my returns.

If you are using Turbo Tax Online, it auto saves within the program. 

If you are using Turbo Tax Cd or download version, you have to manually save a copy of your tax return, it will not auto save for you.

yes, I have been using TurboTax since 2007. I realize I have to save my files, and I do so every year. But I'm telling you, they DO NOT EXIST on my computer like every other year does. Something has caused them to be deleted. My husband is an IT guy and he can't find them either. Even if I hadn't saved a pdf (which I always do) the tax file should be there, else how would I have submitted my taxes?

I did that and she had no answer. I've enjoyed TurboTax for years and years, but I will have to go to something else after this. I can't risk not being able to access my taxes in future years.

It is possible you have multiple accounts. Please make sure you're in the right account. You can do that by using our account recovery page.
