1099-R Error Message

I have entered a 1099-R for an IRA I inherited from my wife.  When I run the Federal Review I get the error message: Payer's city is marked as estimated. It says enter correct number and then select "Unmarked Estimated" from the edit menu. Not sure what correct number I am to enter, all were correct.  Don't see where the edit menu with a drop down to select Unmarked Estimated is.  Any Help??

1099-R Error Message

If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, boxes where you enter information can be marked as 'estimated' as you go through the return in case you do not have all of the information needed.

It does not make sense that a city name would be marked as 'estimated', but that seems to be what the error message is telling you.  To clear this message, go back to the Form 1099-R input screen where you entered the payer's information such as the name and address shown on the Form 1099-R.  Go to the city input box and hit the right button on your mouse.  This should give you a menu on the screen where you can select 'unmark estimated'.  Alternatively, just hit the F8 button while your mouse is in the city input box.

If these steps do not clear the error message, or if you are using TurboTax Online, try deleting that Form 1099-R and re-entering it.

1099-R Error Message

I ended up just deleting the 1099-R I entered and re-entered it.  No problems the second time.  Still don't know why the first time I entered it the program didn't like it.  Error message is certainly misleading.
