Why do you think you can only complete your 2020 tax return using the online editions?
The software for the desktop editions to be installed on your personal computer have exactly the same 2020 information as the online editions.
Does your computer not have the system requirements? Or not have a CD drive? You can download it instead.
Or did you use online last year? There are ways to transfer from 2019 online into the Desktop programs.
I’m not concerned about pulling in last year’s tax info, as I’m 98% complete with this year’s already. My Mac became too old this year, not compatible with this year’s TurboTax. Need a way to receive credit for the CD purchased at Costco, as I opened it to enter the license code once my taxes were ready for submission. Feel like I’m getting the run-around when the response is “Sorry, you’ll have to buy it a second time this year.” I can’t be the first to encounter this issue...
Yes you have to get a refund for the Desktop program and pay for online. Some users have said they took it back to Costco.
Call in for a refund. When you fill out the from use the word BILLING ISSUES instead of the word “refund.” Contact Customer Service 5am-9pm Pacific time 7 days a week, https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact
