Past deadlime for filling

I need to file a extension and it says I'm past deadline. What do I do?Mail a paper one?

You cannot file an extension after the due date which was April 18, 2017. If you owe taxes you should file as soon as you can & pay because a penalty & interest accumulate until the taxes are paid in full.

If you are due a refund, there is no penalty for filing a late return.

The deadline to request an extension was yesterday. You cannot get an extension now.
