Over Payment

I filed for an extension on my federal taxes and paid the estimated amount. I was able to complete the taxes on time, but the extension already went through and both amounts were deducted. How do I receive the overpayment back?

You would need to contact the IRS to get a refund since it was a duplicate payment. You can reach them at 800-829-1040.
