Qualified dividends are merely a subset of ordinary dividends. In other words, the amount of dividends that are "qualified" are included in the ordinary dividends figure.

schedule 1 part 1 8z list 12,832 for qual state tuition prgm from 1099-1. Why was that added as other income? All distributions were qualified expenses.
