Should my husband and I file separately to avoid refund interuption?

It would be better to file Married Joint, and have him complete an Injured Spouse form. You lose tax credits when filing Separately.

Consider filing for SSDI.

What type of refund interruption? Do one of you owe back taxes, student loans, child support, etc?

I owe student loans debt, I have progressive MS and unable to work. I applied for loan forgiveness but it hasn't went through yet. We truly need to get refund to pay medical bill
