Apparently they are not doing anything! They won’t even give us any information!
My taxes were accepted 2/4/2020 but I have yet to receive my refund. I called the IRS number listed back in mid March and they said I should have my refund by March 31 and if not to call back. I called back on March 31 and there is now no one to answer calls due to COVID-19. My status has "still processing" ever since then on the IRS refund tool website. Is there anyway for me to access someone associated with this to see what I need to do to get my refund.
Unfortunately, No, not until the IRS opens again. TurboTax has no information on why your return would still be processing.
Assuming a tax payer meets all the criteria to receive a stimulus payment will they automatically receive the payment by direct deposit if:
A. They filed their 2018 and 2019 tax returns but did not include any direct deposit info
B. They receive a social security retirement benefit by direct deposit
When I use IRS "Get My Payment" web portal I can get as far as the system indicating I am eligible for a payment but must input by bank account info to get the stimulus payment by direct deposit.
The problem from there is:
1. My adjusted gross income is a negative number due to net operating losses (NOL's), carried forward for a rental property and I think the system cannot handle a minus sign put in front of a number. I tried putting in 0 but that did not work, I guess because it did not match what is shown in my 2019 return.
2. The IRS "Get My Payment" web portal asks if you received a refund or made a payment and wants to know how much the refund or payment was I assume to verify identity. The problem is I did NOT receive a refund OR make a payment. The IRS "Get My Payment" web portal does not offer an option of: "did not receive a refund or make a payment".
Someone has claimed my nephew on their taxes. My mom has custody of him, the irs isn't accepting calls how can i get help finding out who did this. His parents doesn't have any of his information and plus i have full custody.
People that aren't receiving any income HAS to file so the irs, treasury or w/e will know where to send their payments
Washington Post has a good article in the 4/16/2020 online edition regarding IRS stimulus payments, special situations, and problems. Link won't display correctly, a common problem with this TT forum, but you can find the article by searching for the title "Glitches prevent $1,200 stimulus checks from reaching millions of Americans".
I read on a news article that if we had turbo tax deduct their fees from our refund(which I did) then the IRS doesn't have our direct deposit info because they have the turbo tax account which turbo tax then moves our return to our accounts, is this true? If so what do I need to do to ensure I can get the stimulus check in a timely matter?
Could one of you EXPERTS let everyone know something regarding the stimulus payment, why many of us have not received them, when after updating our DD info will we receive the payment, what TT is doing to figure this out? No employee will answer the questions regarding the stimulus payments, but will answer questions regarding income tax...... there should really be some sort of announcement letting us all know what is going on....
LOOK AT THIS.....
The Washington Post reports that millions of people who filed their taxes using H&R Block, TurboTax, Jackson Hewitt, and other services have been unable to get their payments, since the IRS did not have direct deposit information on file

I did my taxes through Turbotax got my money direct deposited Will that save direct deposit information I gave turbotax be good for the stimulus check
That's what we all want to know. TURBO REPRESENTATIVES aren't being honest at all!!
I received an email yesterday that I would be receiving my stimulus check via direct deposit to my turbo tax debit card. I never received it, can't get ahold of anybody, and now your companies spokesperson is telling cnbc that there are no issues currently, so where's my money?
The stimulus rollout is not a one day process, its going to take time to hit your account. Just depends on when they send it to you. Most direct deposits should be completed in the next 2 weeks according to the IRS.
