For those of you who have put in your TT Debit Card info recently, how long does the IRS site say it's going to take for your stimulus check to come in? Just curious, as I don't yet have a payment date listed.
Hello, I accidentally claimed myself as an independent when I meant dependent of my parents. I received a stimulus check but that shouldn't happen because I'm supposed to be dependent and I'm a student.
Looking for help on completing 1040-X
@Huseynov89 Go to https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment You'll need to enter some info from your 2018 return; then you'll be able to see if they've issued a payment, and check to see if they have the correct direct deposit info.
@imightberusty it's starting to look like the issue is for those of us that received a refund advance on the Turbocard. Those that got the Turbocard, but didn't qualify, or didn't request the advance, are getting their deposits on their Turbocard. Those of us with the refund advance, had a different direct deposit routing # so the refund could go to the bank that issued the advance first. That direct deposit info isn't accurate now, so they're requesting updated DD info...
In 2018 I filed 1040NREZ so I am not eligible for stimulus. I have to file 2019 tax since I became resident alien in 2019. Is there a deadline to file 2019 tax for stimulus? I just filed today by turbotax but don't know if it works to file so late
So, does anyone know what is going on with some of this stuff?
I didn't get an advance, just got my return on the Turbo card, so from what Turbo Tax has said I should be getting my money on the card. Cool. Only I haven't gotten any money, and when I go to the IRS portal it says they don't have any direct deposit information for me. I can't get a hold of Turbo Tax customer service, they just hang up after playing an automated message. The TurboTax FB is just randomly apologizing to people in comments and not offering any useful information. Has anyone else had this issue with the IRS saying they don't have your info, and they still got their money on the card? Because at this rate I am strongly considering using a different service from here on out and that would probably be the final straw.
Did you have to enter your dad info on the irs site?
Did you have to enter your dd info on the irs site?
@lolyouwish I'm actually not sure if I did ask for an advance or not. Does anyone know how to check that?
Also, I would just grab your DD info for you turbotax card and put it into the IRS website.
@lolyouwish If you don't have any other bank account or card with a routing number—like Chime or Netspend...you can either quickly open a Chime account—which will give you online access to your routing number and account # via the Chime app right away, or try manually entering the routing number and account # for your Turbocard account. You can find that in the Turbocard app. If it's not still down anyway.
@imightberusty Check your actual tax return PDF. If you did apply for the refund advance, you'll have an xtra form or two included pertaining to it.
Why is my return saying expected 0
I filed the 2019 thru TurboTax:last week that was the amount $12,200
for non filers.
I'm only seeing my 2019 return was excepted by irs.
When i check the status there's no information?
I had a similar question. I filed with TurboTax for my 2019 return and received my refund last month. Today when I went to the IRS site, it said it "payment status not available" despite TurboTax having my bank account and direct deposit info.
Do I need to create a profile on the IRS site as well? I thought they'd be able to get that info through TT.
