I am starting a second return, for a family member. It said to use my own name, and I did. When will it allow me to enter info about the family member?

Not sure what you are seeing that made you think you had to enter any of your own information. If you use online TurboTax, you do have to have a separate account and user ID for each person.

If you are preparing a tax return for someone other than yourself, you have to remember that the software does not know who is sitting at the keyboard.  The questions are for the person whose tax return is being prepared--not "you."  Answer the questions as if you are "Aunt Betty" "Grandma" or whoever it is you are preparing the return for.
