I found my AGI for last year on this website but it's not accepting it. I received a confirmation order does that mean it did work?

You can check the status of your return, if you used TurboTax Online, you can see the status of your return on  the Tax Home screen of your account.  You should have also received emails updating you on your return status.

    If you used TurboTax Desktop:

    Select File.

    Select Check E-file status.

Once your return is accepted, you can visit the IRS Where's My Refund? to check the status of your refund.  Most efiled returns take 21 days to process.  If your refund includes Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit, the IRS will start making those refunds available by March 2, 2026.

A confirmation order would probably just that you paid the fees.

Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  And check your spam folder for them.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

    IF THE AGI REJECTS

Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time.  Especially if you mailed it.  That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
