no taxable wages indicated in Box 1, no income indicated.

We have a W2 with zero amount in Box 1. It was from a previous employer she last worked for in 2016. There is a small amount in 14 and 16, but this is due to a company privilege that was unknowingly applied and should have not been applicable since she has been out of the company already, when she used one of their apps to purchase.

We are inclined to not include this W2 in our taxes since there is no taxable wages indicated in Box 1, no income indicated.

If this is not the right move, will this be non-consequential to us? This is W2 is preventing is to eFile.

We appreaciate all the opinion you will give. More power to the Turbo Tax community!

You can file without adding this W2 since it will not affect the federal tax filing.  What is the code for Box 14?  Usually this is for information purposes only and it sound like it apples specifically to the state (since there is an amount in Box 16)

Hi Thanks sooo much for answering. Same amounts for 14 and 16, $14 and change.

You may disregard this W2 as having no bearing on federal taxes and inconsequential bearing on state taxes.  .
