Did you do a state return?  59.99 is only for federal.  State is 39.99.  Or if you want the 59.99 deducted from your refund there is an EXTRA 39.99 Pay with Refund charge.

State is currently $44.99

I don't pay state taxes. Live in FL

Then you requested to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund.  The service charge for that option is $39.99

If this is the case, then I won't be using your service next year..This is the 8th year I've used your service, first time I have had a problem.

Or did you start a Florida state return by accident?  If so, we can tell you how to get a refund.

Florida has no state income tax and no "state return" per se, but some filers in Florida need a DR-405 to file with the county property appraiser by April 1 if they have a FL business or rental property with tangible personal property.   The screen in TurboTax is confusing, and it's not  uncommon for FL filers to begin a "state return" by accident.  Although the price for a state return increased on March 1 to 44.99 as DoninGA mentioned above, so that would not explain your situation with a 39.99 charge on 2/28.

This is mainly a user community forum, so we can't see exactly what you were charged for that would explain that first fee of 39.99 on 2/28.

See the above discussion for some possibilities.

Or did you actually pay for Deluxe at 39.99 for Federal return on February 28, but were still charged a second time for 59.99 on March 4 after the Deluxe price increase which took effect March 1?

In any case, it's not likely to be resolved here in this forum.   Here's how to reach TurboTax Support with any fee issue so you can discuss your situation to see what all you were charged for, and to remedy the situation if necessary.
