If your spouse passed away in 2017 then you can file your tax return as Married Filing Jointly.  In the My Info section of the program where entering their personal information you can indicate that they passed away and the date of passing.

A Form 1310 is not needed if you are the surviving spouse filing the original tax return with the deceased person.
