Thank you for your Reply. When I Get letter from IRS,How can I ask them?
Do I need to send the copy of the TAX Return for 2019. In that , all My 3 children are listed under child tax credit.
Please suggest me how can proceed with IRS regarding this issue.

Please wait for the IRS letter which should give you the instructions.
https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payment-information-center
For security reasons, a letter about the Payment will be mailed to each recipient’s last known address within 15 days after the Payment is made. The letter will provide information on how the Payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the Payment.
just follow whatever they state. I have not seen the letter nor has anyone on these boards mentioned that they have received the letter yet. But the IRS is required to send that letter to you within 15 days of receiving your stimulus money - that was in the CARES ACT.
I would suggest providing a copy of the tax return and pointing to the children and the checkbox.
Thank you for your reply. I will wait for IRS letter.
the other thing is people are complaining they didn't receive credit which is absolutely true if the child was born in 2020
@Anonymous - agreed and that is certainly addressed when they file their 2020 tax return next year (I have a grandchild on the way that fits that category!)
I got $1200.00, I am missing $500.00 I have a child. That I have claimed for the last 12 years. My ex can’t claim her, he doesn’t have her SS number or physical/legal custody of her. Can anyone tell me why I never got the 500. Or how I can go about it thanks
I am in the same boat. I didn’t get my 500 for my one dependent . Can anyone help me
@Palowe78 - there are a few press reports of missing children from the stimulus.
do me a favor and look at your tax return where your child is listed. WAY OVER to the right is a check box.
if "child tax credit" is checked, then the IRS made the mistake. they will be sending a letter about 15 days after the payment to explain how to dispute the payment.
if "other dependent" is checked, then there was something you answered incorrectly when you prepared the tax return through TT. It MAY HAVE also impacted the tax credits you received
I assume your daughter is under 17, a US citizen and has a social security number
please post back what you find and we can go from there.
The other dependent box was checked. I remember doing my taxes and they said it all looked good. I keep saying should I click the child tax credit. Is there anyway someone can help me
My daugther is 12 and had a social security number.
@Palowe78 - so we have to figure out what question was answered incorrectly so that you can amend the return. Can you open up TT and determine what went wrong?
you would have to file an amendment, more so to get the tax credits you may be due. the Child Tax Credit is worth up to $2000 while the "other dependent" is worth up to $500. However, depending on your specific tax situation it may not change the amount of the refund.
the amendment will take a minimum of 16 weeks for the IRS to process and they have provided by guidance whether they will send out the stimulus check immediately after processing the amendment. Maybe they will and maybe they won't.
The saving grace for the stimulus is your 2020 tax return next year. here is why:
does that help? post back if more questions.
Can you help me with that please
I am going to log on to my laptop to adment my taxes and use my iPhone and wait for a reply from you
It won’t let me change that. It keeps saying I get the other dependent credit
