Marriage certificate was "Accepted for Registration" on February 23rd, 2018 but "Date of Marriage" was December 10th, 2017. Should we file as single or married? Thank you
Does California consider us married by the date our application was accepted (February, 2018) or the date we got married on (December 10, 2017).

If you were married before midnight on December 31, 2017, you are considered to have been married for the entire year. You may file as "Married Filing Joint."
Congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy marriage!

Thank you for your reply and best wishes! Just to clarify, do you know if legally California state considers us married by the date our application was accepted (February, 2018) or the date we got married on (December 10, 2017)?

It's the date you stood in front of witnesses and signed the paperwork: the day you will consider your anniversary. 😃
