My job says they are mailing W2's January 31 but I have ADP online so I'm assuming they will post w2 online before then. Anyone else had to wait till the last day for ADP

My company switched to ADP back In October for so I'm registered online to receive my w2 but last year my company didn't use them and they had them on their own portal and to my mail box before the 17th and it's been that way for the last 3 years. Now that they are using ADP they say nothing will get sent until January 31st. Are they just saying that because they don't know the exact date or does ADP really take that long doing it?

ADP wouldn't typically take that long to post the W2s.  I would continue to check the site if you're all signed up because it's likely they will post before you are actually notified.

I know this is very old, but did you ever get that W-2 early? I’m not sure if you remember cuz this was a few years back but my job is telling me the same thing and it’s just conflicting information because ADP says we can get it early.
