Our 2021 federal E-File was rejected because of incorrect AGI. We're very sure we used the number correctly.
Is there anyway we can follow up with IRS to fix it?

If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2020 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2020 AGI might not be in the IRS system. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.

I am getting the same error message today. Don't know if that works.
Please see this Help Article for this Rejection and how to resubmit your returns.
watched all the videos and have tried everything, it still does not work after 5 variations and tries. @HeatherPLO
@xmasbaby0 . If you are from TurboTax could you please look to see what's the issue.
Don't want to mail it.
thanks.
@joybhatta If you have truly "tried everything" and still cannot e-file then you are down to your last option--print it, sign it and mail it.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
Finally got it to work. This time around i had added middle initial to my wife's name. removed it and tried 0 and it worked. Can't imagine why IRS might be using name or a combination of name to match instead of other key fields like ssn and DL.
thanks.
Changing the number to 0 worked for me, too. Strange. This is the only place I found the solution. All the other sites and videos just assume that the user did something wrong. Thanks again.
