Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

My Federal and State says it's ready to mail, but when I filed my returns I selected for it to be mailed to me. It's past the 15th so I don't I have my returns?

It's past the deadline and I haven't had my returns, and the status says it's printed and ready to mail but I selected for it to be sent in the mail to me. What is wrong?

If the status shows as Printed, then if you did not not print and mail your tax return, the return has not been filed.

You can verify that the tax return has not been e-filed using this TurboTax support FAQ - https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

If the status shows as either Printed or No Record Found, then the return was never e-filed.

You can still e-file the 2018 tax return at any time up through October 15, 2019.  There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if you are receiving a tax refund or there are no taxes owed.

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.  See screenshot

This will take you back to the 2018 online tax return.

Click on the File tab on the left side of the program screen.

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section.  In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

You did not read the screens carefully enough ... you had to print, INK sign it and put it in the mail yourself ... TT will not do it for you.
