WAIT for the corrected form ... otherwise you will need to amend the return later and those take MONTHS to process.
The HSA is handled in 3 parts in the TT program :

First the contribution:

Next the limitations screen to confirm you are eligible to make the contributions:
Until you complete the HSA portion of the TurboTax interview to establish your eligibility for an HSA contribution, TurboTax will treat the amount entered on the W-2 form as an excess HSA contribution.
And lastly any distribution:

My contributions weren't remotely close to what an average person contributes to their HSA. Additionally, I didn't even use the contributed amount for anything. Just left it alone.
Sounds good. I will wait then.
Thanks for the quick responses. I really appreciate it.
Yes, that is good advice, to wait.
If your employer files a corrected W2 for you, the IRS will be notified of that.
If you file a return with the original W2, your return may be flagged.
When you get, and enter, the new W2, be sure to select the "C" for Corrected. This will be on the "Corrected" W2
"contributions" ? What exactly are they changing ?
HSA Contributions from last year. They forgot to add that to the W2.
So, they said wait till you get the new W-2C.
