My did I get a exemption in 2015, 2016, 2017 but not in 2018 and 2019?

Personal exemptions were removed from the tax code after tax year 2017, if that is what you are referring to.
The Standard Deduction was increased.
Standard deductions for 2019
The tax code changed. Starting in 2018 there is no more personal exemptions. They increased the Standard Deduction instead.
For 2019 the standard deduction on 1040 line 9 amounts are:
Single 12,200 + 1,650 for 65 and over or blind (13,850)
HOH 18,350 + 1,650 for 65 and over or blind
Joint 24,400+ 1,300 for each 65 and over or blind
Married filing Separate 12,200 + 1,300 for 65 and over or blind
