Since you are using the desktop version of Turbo Tax, be sure to click on "Check for Updates" and update your software if needed. If that doesn't work you can manually update your software.
Hard to update the software when you can't even start the program. The minute you click the turbotax icon, it automatically tries to do an update and hangs. Close out of everything, reboot, try the manual installation and it says not enough RAM. 12 GB is more than enough to run every other program I own. This issue is causing more problems than Intuit is willing to acknowledge, meanwhile after 10 years of buying their software, we get the option of spending 4 hours with tech support and get no resolution. This has been posted in numerous forums and blogs. MANUAL install does not bring back the rainbows and sunshine. Where is TT getting it's information about the RAM available in our systems? maybe we can start there?

You're saying that TT can't determine if you have enough RAM because of video settings? Who coded that piece of crap? Those two are totally independent, and mean nothing to each other.
that is a frequent solution for turbo tax not putting the activation window up at all. I doubt very much that it will work when turbo tax says the computer does not have enough memory
