My 1099-NEC form has box 7 but not box 5 or 6

I have been doing freelance work with this one company since 2022.

The company and myself are both located in New York.

My 2023 1099-NEC only had box 1 filled out.

This year, my 2024 1099-NEC has box 1 and box 7 filled out with the same amount. However, there is no information for boxes 5 and 6. What should I do in this case? Can I proceed with just box 7?

Most likely nothing has changed from prior years, But you should call the company about data in box 7 but not 5 or 6.

Is box 7 the same amount as box 1?  Box 7 is state wages.  If you don't have any withholding in box 5 then leave boxes 5, 6 & 7 all blank.

Yeah, boxes 1 and 7 have the same amount. Does this mean I can leave out box 7?
