Hi, my mortgage was transferred from Bank of America to Mr Cooper in November 2021 (BOA sold mortgage to Mr Cooper), and Mr. Cooper's year end statement Form 1098 does not include any information for information before being transferred to Mr. Cooper.
Should I get another form 1098 from Bank of America? My BOA mortgage account does not exist anymore, the account was removed right after the transfer process was done. Will BOA mail me a copy of form 1098?

Both banks will issue a 1098 form ... it should be mailed this month or you may have online access to the account.
In the program you MUST enter them in the order that they happened ... oldest info first.

Okay, thanks, I will be waiting for the mail. No online account, the BOA mortgage account was removed right after the transfer process was done. I just cannot image what if people move, how can previous mortgage company knows the new address, they should keep the online account accessible after tax season.
If you move, you have to ask the Post Office to forward your mail, which they will do for up to a year.
If you move it is your responsibility to let everyone know you moved especially if you are expecting a tax reporting form from them. Also forwarding thru the post office is another avenue to getting your mail.
