My husband gets a pension and Social Security and I get Disability. when I put his pension in it shows a refund. Then I put in our SS and Disability ( which doesn't have Federal taxes withheld) and all of a sudden we owe several thousand dollars. I new at this so what are we doing wrong?

The Social Security can be taxable.  You need to increase his pension tax withholding or have some withholding taken out of your SS and his.

Up to 85% of Social Security becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security, reaches:

Married Filing Jointly: $32,000

Single or head of household: $25,000

Married Filing Separately: 0
