Mailing in 1099-B Summary Statement of Transactions

Hi, I had filed my taxes online e-filing and because on form 8949 I didn't list all my security transactions as single transactions along with the wash sales, I was told I need to physically mail in Form 8453. So I am going to do that with a 1099-B summary statement. So this might sound silly, but it is safe that my 1099-B includes my account # on the statement or should I blot that out? Is it risking anything?

If you feel more comfortable blotting out the account number, do that.

However, the IRS needs to be assured that the 1099-B form is yours.  Do not blot out identifying information that assigns the form to you.

Retain a copy that has not been altered in your records should the IRS contact you about needing the unaltered form at a later time.

you already did that with your e-Filed Form 8949.

IRS wants the details for each transaction itemized, not a summary.

only details of wash sales if any, that are not already on your e-filed return have to be mailed in to the IRS.
