Life insurance 1099

I rec’d a 1099 from Northwestern Mutual where the gross was 39000 and the taxable was 30400.  How do I enter it into Tubrotwax and is the 30400 income that I will have to pay taxes on>

Our loan was several years ago and they just issued me an ultimatum to pay the load or they will send a 1099.

What should I do.

Report the 1099-R exactly as it appears. At a certain point the tax law requires the company to issue the tax document for unpaid loans of this type.

You must report the taxable income on your tax return.

@Doylerobi What income are you referring to?  What form is the income being reported on?

If the income was reported on a Form 1099-R, then use the instructions in the following TurboTax help article to enter your information.  If it was a different type of Form 1099, please respond with what tax form you received.

Where do I enter my 1099-R?
