License code can only be used once 2025?

My computer does not have Windows 11 so I used the online version. I cannot find a way to file another set of tax returns for my family member. I spoke to a representative and he told me to create another account and use the same license code, but it says it gave me an error indicating the code has already been used. Am I missing the option to file another (new) set of taxes on the online version? I am not a fan of this online version.

Sorry---only desktop download lets you prepare five federal e-files.    You do not get five returns when you use online.

When you use online TurboTax software you get one return per fee.

Each return needs its own email, account and user ID.   If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, the second one overwrites the first return and it is lost forever.

Yes, you can install the software in up to 5 different computers per the TurboTax Desktop Software End User License Agreement for Tax Year 2025.

So then, if I have five different PC with Win11, I can download TTax 2025 onto to all five using the same license code. I have it on my Win11 PC. I was trying to help my dad load it on his PC but he has Win10, so that won't work. But then he can't use the same license code for a TTax Online account either. Is that correct?

@doriopsilla The TurboTax online editions do not use a license code.  The TurboTax desktop editions are totally separate from the online editions.  And they have separate price points.

Just use one of your computers with Windows 11 to do his tax return.   Why did  you install  Turbo Tax on 5 computers?  You can do unlimited returns in the Desktop program and efile 5 federal for  free.  The rest you have to print and mail.  Using it on more than 1 computer won't get you anymore efiles.

I use my download to do mind and my daughter's taxes. I send the download information and the license code to my father, two brothers, and sister so they can get the other . They don't live near me. They can then download it to their (compatible!) computers and do their taxes as they see fit. If they want to e-file they can pay for that themselves with the money they save by not buying their own copy of TTax. Although, now that you mention it, I guess they could email me their TTax file I and I can file it from my computer. Good to know!

They would have to log into your account to download the program.  But the license is only for 5 computers that you own.
