Last year (and this year) I have a w2. There are only choices for a 1040 type form in the file section for last year.

You may have filed a W-2 on your tax return last year but the type of return itself can only be a 1040 version, meaning a 1040EZ, 1040A, or a 1040. 

A W-2 is not a type of return.  It's a form that reports wages that you enter on a 1040 version.
