Kids had no SSN for the past 5 years.

I am an immigrant. I got into USA sometime in 2018 with my kid. I was the only one who had SSN since then. All along, I was excluding my kid from my returns, although I have been living.  My kid is now 11, just granted SSN, can I amend my past returns to include her? If possible, from which year is she eligible?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry---no, you are not permitted to amend past returns to claim a child who had no SSN for those years in order to get the child tax credit or earned income credit.   You can claim her as a dependent on your tax returns going forward now that she has a SSN.
