My 2019 job related expenses are similar to 2018. After including the expenses and continuing to the summary, my 2018 job related expenses show and $0 is in the 2019 column next to the 2018 amount. I've redone this 3 times and don't understand why the 2019 expenses aren't showing up in the summary.

if you got a w-2 - an employee not treated as a statutory employee, your job-related expenses are not deductible except for Armed Forces reservists, qualified performing artists, fee-basis state or local government officials, and employees with impairment-related work expenses. the same applied in 2018
if you are an independent contractor got one or more 1099--misc, your income and expenses are reported on schedule C - the same as in 2018
