It says I am not entitled to efile one or more formsets. What does this mean

Thats crazy. This year i found filing taxes with Turbotax very complicated. I mean why do we have to pay $40 state filing fee? I never had to pay this before.

If after paying state filing fee ur still not able to e-file then i would suggest going over your federal and state taxes again. Sometimes having multiple w2 or 1099s can cause an error which are not detected by turbotax.

But i would really like to know that why only this year i had to pay $40 NY state filing fee and never before.

i am getting this message and i am in Missouri. i have never had this trouble before with Turbo Tax and it is very annoying. i paid my  $30.00 which was for Plus and that was supposed to cover both State and Federal. I do not plan on paying more  or its false advertisiing for all of us that have experienced this.

Just a suggestion , when u click on REVIEW, you should see 3 steps before you can e-file. The first step is for state filing fee. Have a look if it’s asking you to pay state tax filing fee.

REVIEW section comes as soon as you finish state tax.

hope it helps

What I did is because it kept rejecting and when I did delete it wasn’t allowing me so I went and did the IRS free to file program by turbo and it was free and didn’t charge me anything

Just finished submitting my return. I was getting the same message but I had already paid $40 for the TurboTax deluxe plan with PayPal. I thought  this covered all processing fees but it does not!...DONT USE PAYPAL!....instead, if possible for you, just choose the option to have any fees deducted directly from you return instead. After that my return went through (also had to go back and correct some things but don't know if that would have had any effect). Ended up paying for the deluxe plan twice because of this. I always chose the option to deduct from my return in previous years but this time I chose PayPal and got this error message.

Thanks for the information.  Once I deleted my state return then my federal went through without any problem.

It says I am not entitled to efile one or more formsets. What does this mean

I spent a total of 5 hours with different tax experts until today February 24 that I ended up talking with a lady who got it right and sent me the link for this FAQ.

I had to file two states and a 1099nec form. I ended paying $90 for the self employed version and then $80 for the two states. I won't use TaxTurbo again. I should have done the states in other platform but the issue is that you always have to pay in any website for the 1099 forms.
