It’s saying my ein numbers are wrong but they are correct, what do I do?

None of that will work. It's the program

It’s saying my ein numbers are wrong but they are correct, what do I do?

I have been having the same issue the past couple days. Everything matches my W2. I have typed the EIN in leaving out the dashes, refiled and rejected again. I tried retyping WITH the dashes, refiled, and again rejected. Definitely thinking something is wrong within the TT system. The dashes did not show on either return when I downloaded each time. If you find a workaround, please share. Good luck!

Never found or received a solution last year from TT.  After hours and hours of frustration, phone calls, to TT and the casinos confirimg the EIN numbers, Gave in and bought H&R block software and that worked just fine. The main issue was definitely an error in the code or something with TT and the W2G sections because the more you typed in the slower the program got. TT didn't care to figure it out and they lost a long-time customer which they apparently don't care about either since problem is still ongoing.

What happened to me was that the EIN number was off by one digit.  There was a "9" where it should be a "0".  I had looked at it several times until I realized it.  The problem with Turbotax is that the error message does not specify which EIN number is wrong if you have several in your 1040 return.

I am having the same problem. I have re-entered the correct ID number and all three times the return has been rejected by the IRS for having the wrong number. When I get the message from TurboTax, the number that they show as submitted is different than the number I keep entering.

I gave up trying to submit it electronically thru TT. I printed off the return that TT completed and mailed it into the IRS after making the corrections to the EIN in pen. All worked out in the end, just took longer. Good luck
