If you keep getting this error, and you know the zip code is correct, you may want to try and and delete your 1098-T and re-enter your information again manually (do not copy and paste it). Do this by:
1. Open your return.
2. Go to My Account.
3. Go to Tools.
4. Select Delete a Form.
5.Click next to 1098-T form to delete.
Another option is the following:
If you copied and pasted numbers from your education-related 1098 documents, some of those numbers are hyperlinks. If you go back through the section and manually re-enter them that should eliminate your issues (do not try to fix if from the frame under the error message).
*IMPORTANT: Also do not put "0" (zero) if the box is blank. Just leave the box blank.
I can't submit electronically because it keeps telling me the zip code is wrong for my daughter's college. I veried it with the post office.
