Is this the screen where you enter your 1098-T information? Why not just call it that instead of making it confusing?

Enter your 1098-T in the Deductions & Credit section, scroll down to Education (Scholarships, student loans, tuition).

Refer to the TurboTax Help articles Where do I enter Form 1098-T (Tuition Statement)?, Guide to Tax Form 1098-T: Tuition Statement and What Are Education Tax Credits? For additional information.

No, that is not where you enter Form 1098-T education expenses.

To enter, edit or delete Education Expenses -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Education
On Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T), click on the start or update button

Thank you, for the clear-cut answer. I did choose walk me through everything instead of I'll choose what to work on (if I recall correctly).

So, not to be redundant, if I Click No here..., what is this section for anyway? Just confusing. Asking in case I get routed back here once I go back through the steps you've suggested...

Thank you in advance.

Form 1098-E (student loan interest)

Form 1099-Q (distribution from an education savings account)

Form 1098-T (tuition statement)

are all entered in the Education Section located under Deductions & Credits

Some of the entries in this section may result in taxable income, rather than a deduction or credit.

The forms can work along with and then again also against one-another in regard to applying for an education credit.

It can be a complicated issue and I think everything is condensed in this one section to encourage that all the information is entered so that the program can make a suggestion on the best way to report expenses, financial aid, and possible credits.
