Is there another reason on eic rejected taxes besides someone else claiming him

me and my ex wife switch kids each year, she didnt claim my son and i did, but it was still rejected

Is there more than 1 kid?  Maybe you left the other one on your return.  Or she used his ssn for the wrong kid.

What is your rejection code?  Who is the custodial parent?  Did she enter him at all on her return?  If you are not the custodial parent, you cannot claim the EITC.  The only credit you would be able to claim as the noncustodial parent would be the Child Tax Credit.  

If she entered him on her return at all, are you sure she did not claim the credit? How many months did you say he lived with you? Depending on how she entered him on her return, it could disqualify you from getting the EITC.
