So many people are switching to Linux, and away from Windows. I am curious which tax software will be offered for Linux version first? Will this be TurboTax, Tax Act, or someone else? Whoever does this first, will gain many new customers.
Like someone mentioned, I would not upload my data online because of both, privacy concerns and being dependent on Internet connection for the access.
Having double boot version for Windows and Linux is impractical for most people.
If Tax Act offers Linux version, I would switch in a heartbeat.

Never going to happen (you must be joking). Even almost no professional tax prep software supports Linux.
Re TaxAct, the desktop versions don't even support Macs.
