Is the cost of upgrade to premier, $54.99, in addition to the original cost or the new total cost?

Currently Premier is 54.99.  That is the full cost.  So if you already paid for Deluxe you only will pay the difference.  That is just for Federal only.  State is always a separate 36.99.

Using TurboTax Online, that is the new cost for Premier since you do not pay your fees until the end of the return when you file.  This replaces the cost of your Deluxe version.

If you were upgrading within TurboTax Desktop, you would only be charged the difference.
