Is anyone seeing the TurboTax web site giving an error for USAA routing number despite is being entered correctly?

More specifically, The USAA routing number is fine for the federal refund page. But the same exact routing number for the Maryland refund page is giving an invalid routing number and Bank routing numbers do not match error. We cannot finish our return...Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is a know issue that should be fixed soon ... if you have another account you can use that one instead or you can have the refund mailed to you  or  wait for the error to be corrected.

Thanks for the update. Will keep trying until Intuit/TurboTax fixes the issue. We cannot finish filing all state returns.

I've tried three separate accounts and all routing numbers are giving the same error in the routing number fields when trying to direct my Maryland State refund. Also tried a random bank (Regions) and their routing number is accepted normally.

Kind of strange for such large companies like TurboTax and USAA.

Same error message. Tried several different browsers and accounts. Will only take credit card for payment but no direct deposits for refunds. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

If you are using Desktop Software:

1. Open TurboTax software, then open the file you are working on.

2. Open the "forms" tab at top left.

3. Scroll down to where the banking information is and the routing box will be yellow with the routing number and the word routing number behind it.

4. Clear the box and move the cursor out of the box, then re-enter the cursor in the box and enter your routing number and that should fix it.

If you are using TurboTax Online, this situation has been reported to the developers for resolution as soon as possible.

If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, use the following steps to overcome the error conditions preventing direct deposit:

  1. While on the screen asking you to enter your banking information for direct deposit, click the Forms button in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. This will open the Info Wks where there are two items that need attention.
  3. Check the Yes box highlighted in pink beside the question Do you want to elect Direct Deposit of any Federal refund?
  4. Go to the routing number field and delete all of the extra characters entered after your nine-digit routing number.
  5. Click the Step-by-Step button at the top right corner of the screen to go back to the filing choices and continue to file your return.
