You might need to uninstall and reinstall TurboTax.

Just confirm - I can uninstall / reinstall my current version without losing all the other returns that I have processed?
Yes. See the thread I included in the previous post.
THANK YOU for your prompt replies. This is very helpful.
I uninstalled / reinstalled the software and I still get the same message. That it is e-file ineligible due to non calendar year return. When I print preview the State return - at the top it says "other tax year beginning 01012024 and ending 12312024". Not sure why this says this - how can I update / change this?
Hmm. Maybe try this: State install/e-file update loop: State not installed after installation or TurboTax needs to update...
I just received a letter in the mail from the state of CT saying I never filed a 2024 tax return. I know I tried because I even sent in a check for what I owed the state (and it was deposited by state of CT in Feb 2025). I am very confused as to how I should go about getting this sorted. Turbo Tax did not do its job correctly - first time I've been let down in over a decade of filing with them.
@annavhamer Check your online account to see what it says---was your state return e-filed successfully--or was it rejected and you did not notice? Or----did you file early in the tax season before your state was accepting returns? If the return was not filed, then the only way to file it now is by mail. E-filing is closed for 2024 returns. Print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it in to the state.
