Installing turbo tax premier on more than one desktop

I would like to share my Turbo Tax premier with my daughter to allow her to complete tax return. She is filing on her own, and not a dependent starting this year. Her free TT online account is asking her to upgrade.

I purchased TT Premier online from Costco. How do i install on her laptop and where do i get the verification key?

The TurboTax user license allows one user to install copies of TurboTax on up to five computers that the user owns. You can also prepare multiple returns, including returns for other people. But the license does not allow, and has never allowed, one copy to be shared among different people.  This year, that license is being enforced by requiring users to log into their TurboTax online account when they install the program for the first time. This locks one particular copy of the program and one license code to one user account. The only way you could install the program on a computer that you do not own, would be to give the other person your online username and password. And even though that workaround might allow the installation, it’s still a violation of the license.

Did you buy the download from Costco?  I did too.  You get the activation key on the confirmation email.  You download and install it the same way as you did the first time.  I don't know how that works with Costco.  You might need to log into your email on her computer or forward the Costco emails to her to be able to click on the download link.  Then to install it she will have to log into your Turbo Tax account.  Let me know if you get it to install and how from Costco on another computer.

I tried to install TTax 2024 on a 2nd desktop running win 11 on each and it will only allow the 2nd install to be a Max os.  The desktop option is greyed out.  What happened to the 5 installations the license is supposed to allow to me?  How do I install to my 2nd desktop that I own?

Since you now have to log into an Intuit Account all your downloads and licenses are listed there (even if you bought it from somewhere else) so if you need to download to install it again or install on another computer, even on the other operating system (Windows, Mac). Andy the download will have all the updates to date.
