Suggestion from support rep to start new tax return using "import data" for 2024 returns-done by accountant- it's a .pdf file (2.5mb) and I get error code saying that it's too large. Was hoping the import would simplify my rental expenses/Schedule E and the Depreciation report which has been a nightmare to manually enter 😠
Does anyone know limit on size of importing files? Also, read somewhere that even if I DO successfully import that TT does not recognize all forms (Depreciation??), just transfers basic data.
Thanks

You need to have the actual electronic pdf file not a printed or scanned copy. But a pdf only transfer very basic info like your name and AGI. It would be just as easy to manually enter all your info. So it's probably not worth even trying to transfer it.

You can Transfer a PDF into Windows Desktop if your 2024 PDF is a 1040 return generated through TurboTax, H&R Block, or TaxACT software (Form 1040-SR is not supported for PDF transfer).

Thanks for your input.
Agree, if it will only transfer basic info it’s pointless. Disappointed that this isn’t an option- purchased TT Premier as it was targeted for investment & rental properties. Being unable to import Depreciation schedules is a deal breaker!
