If your parents could claim you as a dependent on their return, you won't be able to claim yourself (even if they choose not to claim you). [IRS Pub. 17, p. 25]

In the My Info section of your return, click Edit to the right of your name. You will need to scroll down past your personal information and states you have lived in to section # 3, as mentioned above, A few other things we need to know. The first item listed states Someone else can claim me as a dependent on their tax return. You can choose the radial button Yes or No.
