If you are not being claimed as a dependent by someone else you can get your own personal exemption (claim yourself) otherwise you will only get the standard deduction for filing single.
You can't claim yourself separately as a dependent. You as the taxpayer get the same $4050 personal exemption that a dependent would get unless you can be claimed as a dependent by someone else.
