If you have not paid for TurboTax then you can downgrade to the free version by using the Clear & Start Over option.
With TurboTax open select tax tools in the left-hand panel.
Then select Clear & Start Over.
Select yes when asked are you sure you want to clear your return.
I have completed my return, have not paid, but do not need the "self employed " version. (I have no idea how this option got selected) I do not want to clear everything I've spent two days entering, but do not want to pay an extra $60 that I don't need to. Is this Turbo Tax's way of holding users hostage to pay more than they need to? I have no "self employed" entries on my return. Am I to understand my only option is to pay the extra $60 or lose everything I've entered?
I've asked this question 5 different ways on the site, but can't a straight answer. I'm so frustrated.
