It is always best to report all income that you have earned. The IRS can apply fines and penalties for any unreported income. If you were not issued a 1099-MISC for this income it would be best to report this as Other Income in line 21 of your Tax Return. This will save you Self-Employment Taxes and having to upgrade your TurboTax account to Self-Employed.
To Enter this as Other Income (without having received 1099-MISC please follow the steps below:
- Log in to your TurboTax Account
- From the main upper most tab select Federal Taxes
- In the secondary tab select Wages and Income
- Scroll down to Less Common Income and select Show More
- Once the screen drops down select Start in Miscellaneous Income
- Then select Start to Other Reportable Income.
