Frankly, I would think were one to get audited, you'd have much better tools and reference (you've got the software in hand that generated the return - the CD) than some online taxes you fill out. But maybe those who do the whole thing online get an copy of their return they can keep on their desktop PCs for each year.

 

For most of those years, in fact probably all, I had a few errors each time at review I either couldn't solve or wasn't perfectly sure of. It usually took no more than an average of maybe 15 minutes to 30 to generate a call, talk with a live expert, over and done. What has kept me coming back to TT is every one of those error-check off experts was free! E.G., James, case #[removed], 2021 return.

 

This year I've got a couple problems and a few errors at review again that should be real easy for these experts. They were CPA's and tax consultant businesses in various states if I recall. I've looked everywhere around Turbo Tax and can't find how to connect with one.

 

Please direct me. Just wasted a whole day looking and going nowhere.

Your info here:

"TurboTax CD/Download software

  1. Go to our Contact us page
  2. Select your product and edition, ask your question, then select Continue
  3. Enter your contact info, then select Get the phone number"  --I went there and there's no such thing on the contact page as "Select your product," no way to enter contact info, no way to get the phone number. This page does look a bit familiar as the process I used in past years. In past years I generally talk with one live on the phone headset, and like to show them - in the case usually HAVE to show them - it's just the animal of the data, trust me - the details using a remote viewing. That is to say, there's no way this is going to work typing back and forth (your 2nd link).
