I uploaded my 1099-DIV from PDF to turbo tax and all of the boxes populated with the exception of 1a. Do I need to manually populate it or should I leave it blank?

If your form has something on that line, manually update it.  Also double check all the other entries.

Always double-check the imported information to make sure they all match what is reported on the 1099-DIV, or any other form.

I agree with everyone else.  I always check what uploads.  If there is something in Box 1a on the paper version... update it.  Good luck!
