Return and start over after hours of work!? I was bored during the lockdown and was hoping this would happen. Thanks for keeping this as a surprise TT ❤️
Actually, clearing and starting over doesn't work; I've deleted my previous post. You must start over by creating a separate account.
I cannot file
I cannot delete
I cannot file Federal
I cannot film state
Everything i click Dead End
Why should I Pay for this service when I doing everything online during COVID-19?
paying $130 just to do tax online is a lot of money during COVID-19.
Can you assist?

If you cannot use the TurboTax Free File Program because you are not eligible and do not want to use the TurboTax online editions due to the cost, then use one of the other Free File programs on this IRS website - https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile/
how do i get back to deluxe .
Downgrading to a lower version of online TurboTax requires you to clear your entire tax return and start over. Tax Tools -> Clear and start over.
Hey. I was having the same issue with everyone on this thread. I clicked on "fIle for free" without knowing that I wouldn't be qualified, and was almost all the way through my filing until I hit a dead end.
I was able to change my plan back to a paid plan this way.
1. log out of Turbo Tax.
2. go to https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/
3. scroll down and click on "Try for free" button on a paid plan that best fit you.
4. on the next page, assuming you used Turbo Tax last year, click on the Turbo Tax option. They will sign you in or ask you to sign in, sign back into your account.
5. a pop up will appear on the screen asking you if you want to switch from free filing to the paid plan, slect yes, then continue.
If you didn't file your taxes with Turbo Tax last year, I unfortunately haven't gone down that flow in the web tool. But I assume even if it's a new account, the pop up asking if you are sure you want to switch to paid plan will still appear.
Hope this helps. Best of luck everyone.
THANK YOU! This worked. I was about to start over and was so bummed/frustrated.
Thank you so much for sending the link to switch to a paid plan. I was finally able to get out of the TurboTax free file after weeks of anxiety and frustration!
